1.2 When do the World Championships take place?
The World Championships take place from August 13–16, 2026 in Duesseldorf. As preparation and follow-up work are required, volunteers are needed from August 08–17, 2026.
1.3. Where do the World Championships take place?
The main venue is the Flag Football Complex in Düsseldorf-Garath.
1.4 Do I need to be available for the entire period?
For better planning and organization, all volunteers should be available on at least three days.
1.5 How can I register?
Registration takes place via the Eventvolunteers online platform
You will create a profile and enter the required information.
1.6 Until when can I apply?
Application deadline is May 31, 2026.

1.8 What do I need for registration and application?
You will need your personal data, a mobile phone, an email address, and a photo for accreditation.
1.9 How old do I have to be?
All volunteers must be at least 18 years old on August 07, 2026.
1.10 Are there specific requirements?
Yes. Commitment, enthusiasm, sufficient availability during the event period, and enjoyment of teamwork are essential. The enthusiasm and passion of volunteers will be key to creating a positive experience for all guests. Good German and some English language skills are required. Other languages are an advantage.
1.11 Is prior experience required?
No. Prior experience may be helpful for certain roles, and volunteers are encouraged to contribute their individual skills and experiences, but it is not required.
1.12 Which languages should I speak?
As this is an international event held in Germany, good German and some English language skills are required. Other languages are an advantage.
2. SELECTION PROCESS
2.1 Am I automatically selected once I register?
Unfortunately not. After the application phase, all applications will be reviewed. Depending on the quality of the application, additional information may be requested or short online interviews may be conducted. This varies by functional area.
2.2 When will I find out if I have been selected?
All applicants will receive feedback no later than June 30, 2026.
2.3 Will interviews take place after the application phase?
Interviews may be conducted with selected applicants depending on the role. Short interviews are planned for Team Guide volunteers. Most applicants will not be required to attend an interview.
2.4 How are volunteers selected?
After the registration portal closes, all applications will be reviewed. Candidates will be matched with the requirements of the available roles based on their skills and qualifications. The outcomes are divided into:
2.5 How will I be informed if I am selected?
After the selection process, you will receive an email informing you whether you have been confirmed or placed on the waiting list.
2.6 Can I withdraw my application later?
Please inform us as soon as possible if you are no longer able to participate so that your place can be offered to another volunteer.

3. AREAS OF DEPLOYMENT AND SHIFTS
3.1 What areas of deployment are available?
An overview of all functional areas can be found within the application process and on our website
3.2 How long is a shift?
Shifts generally last 8-9 hours, including sufficient breaks.
3.3 When will I receive my shift schedule?
After the volunteer selection phase, volunteers will be assigned to shifts internally. As we understand that advance planning is important, feedback will be provided as early as possible.
Your personal schedule will be available in your Eventvolunteers profile.
3.4 Can I choose my assignment area?
If you indicate specific skills or preferred areas during registration, we will try to consider them where possible. However, this cannot be guaranteed.
4. BENEFITS
4.1 Is insurance coverage provided?
Yes. All volunteers are covered by liability and accident insurance during their assignments and while traveling to and from the venue.
4.2 Is accommodation provided?
No. Volunteers must arrange their own accommodation for the event period.
4.3 Is the volunteer work paid?
No. Volunteers participate on an honorary basis and therefore do not receive monetary compensation. However, you benefit from several advantages, including:
You will also be right in the middle of the event, interacting daily with officials and spectators, meeting new people, and you may keep your volunteer outfit after the event.
4.4 Will I receive a certificate of participation?
Yes. All volunteers will receive a certificate confirming their voluntary engagement.
